Guiding you toward a happier, healthier life

Meet Melissa Rauch LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

I bring over 20 years of experience in the human services field, helping both adults and adolescents navigate life's challenges and move toward greater well-being. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in California, Colorado, and Arizona.

I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, sexual disorders, and sexual victimization. My approach to therapy is eclectic and personalized, I draw from a variety of evidence-based and holistic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Buddhist psychology.

Throughout my career, I've worked in a wide range of settings, including therapeutic foster homes, psychiatric inpatient facilities, residential group homes, and as the Clinical Director for several residential programs focused on eating disorders and substance abuse. Currently, I focus on individuals in my private practice. These diverse experiences have given me a deep understanding of the complexity and resilience of the human experience.

I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where healing can begin and growth can flourish. Whether you're looking to process past trauma, manage current struggles, or find a clearer path forward, I'm here to walk with you on that journey. If you're ready to take the next step, l invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. Together, we can begin your path toward healing and lasting change.

I can help with

EMDR
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping clients process and heal from painful experiences using EMDR therapy. This evidence-based approach is designed to activate the brain's natural healing process, allowing you to move beyond trauma and reclaim a sense of peace and empowerment.
Through EMDR, we change the narrative and challenge the voices of trauma, not to forget, but to finally be free.

Trauma & PTSD
Whether you're struggling with a single traumatic event or complex trauma, EMDR can help reduce distress, reframe painful memories, and support long-term recovery.
Anxiety & Panic
EMDR is effective in addressing the root causes of anxiety, helping to calm the nervous system and reduce intrusive thoughts, worry, and panic responses.
Performance & Self-Esteem Issues
EMDR isn't just for trauma, it's also useful for overcoming limiting beliefs that hold you back in your career, relationships, or personal goals.

Women's Issues
Women can face distinct challenges in balancing personal, professional, and societal pressures. My goal is to create a supportive space where women can explore these challenges, build self-esteem, and find healing, empowering them to embrace their strengths and achieve a sense of fulfillment.

Life Transitions
Whether it's a career shift, divorce, motherhood, menopause or simply entering a new season of life, transitions can bring both loss and possibility. But change, even when chosen, can stir up anxiety, grief, and uncertainty. I offer a safe space to navigate these crossroads with clarity and grace. Drawing from CBT and Buddhist psychology, we'll find your center amid the unknown, helping you move forward grounded, intentional, and fully in your power.

Self-Worth
So many women carry quiet self-doubt beneath their confidence, wondering if they're ever "enough." Whether this shows up as people-pleasing, negative self-talk, or difficulty setting boundaries, the root is often the same: a wounded sense of worth. In our work, we'll challenge the inner critic using the tools of CBT, while also nurturing self-compassion and inner peace through Buddhist principles. This isn't about becoming someone new it's about remembering who you already are.

Burnout
When you've been running on empty for too long, burnout becomes more than exhaustion, it becomes a way of life. Many women find themselves depleted from constantly giving, striving, and pushing past their limits. Using a blend of CBT and Buddhist psychology, I help you step off the treadmill of perfectionism and reconnect with rest, purpose, and balance.
Together, we'll rebuild from the inside out so you can live, lead, and give from a place of wholeness, not survival.
Trauma & Abuse
Every woman's story is unique. I tailor each session to your specific experiences and goals, using trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens. I will walk with you every step of the way at your own pace. My work focuses on rebuilding internal stability, restoring healthy boundaries, and reconnecting you to your inherent strength and self-worth. Therapy can help you move beyond survival and toward true healing, empowerment, and peace.

Anxiety
When anxiety takes over, even everyday moments can feel overwhelming. Racing thoughts, constant tension, perfectionism, overthinking and the fear of "what if" can make it hard to feel present, grounded, or in control. I work with clients to break the grip of anxiety using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Buddhist psychology, an approach that is both practical and deeply mindful.

Together, we'll challenge anxious thinking, develop effective coping strategies, and cultivate awareness that helps you respond to life, rather than react to it. With this integrative approach, you'll learn to quiet the mind, anchor in the present, and build a more peaceful, empowered way of being.

Men's Issues
Men often face unique emotional challenges that are rarely talked about, but deeply felt.
Whether shaped by cultural expectations, family dynamics, or personal history, many men are taught to suppress vulnerability and "tough it out" alone. In therapy, you don't have to. I can help.

Emotional Suppression & Numbness
You might feel disconnected from your emotions or overwhelmed when they surface. Therapy provides a safe space to reconnect with yourself and learn new ways of experiencing and expressing emotion.

Anger, Irritability, & Stress
Unprocessed emotions can often show up as anger, stress, or difficulty managing reactions. Together we can uncover the deeper roots of these patterns and create space for healthier responses.

Relationship & Communication Struggles
Whether it's with a partner, family member, or at work, many men struggle with feeling misunderstood or expressing themselves clearly. We'll work together to build confidence, clarity, and stronger relationships.

Performance Pressure & Self-Worth
Many men carry internalized pressure to succeed, provide, or always appear in control. These expectations can lead to anxiety, burnout, or feeling like you're never "enough." I can help challenge these beliefs and support a more authentic sense of self-worth.

Grief, Loss, & Life Transitions
From the loss of a loved one to career shifts or aging, men often experience deep emotions without the support to process them. Therapy can help you move through change with greater resilience.

Trauma & Abuse
For many men, trauma is carried in silence, masked by achievement, anger, isolation, or the pressure to just "move on." But unresolved trauma doesn't disappear. It shows up in relationships, work, emotional shutdown, or the quiet sense that something's always just...off.
In our work together, we go beyond surface-level coping. Using EMDR and a grounded, solution-focused approach, we target the root of the pain so you can finally get unstuck.
This is a space where you don't have to explain away your strength or your struggle. You'll learn to process trauma on a deep, neurological level, break old patterns, and rebuild trust with yourself. Healing isn't weakness -- it's power reclaimed.

Men who have experienced abuse, physical, emotional, or sexual, often suffer in silence. I offer a non-judgmental space where your experiences are taken seriously, and healing is possible.
